Welcome and thank you for visiting the Banks County Sheriff’s Office website.  The Banks County Sheriff’s Office is a full service law enforcement agency responsible for enforcing criminal and traffic laws in a county with over 230 square miles.  The sheriff’s office is not only responsible for enforcing criminal and traffic laws, but also services all the civil process from the various courts to whom the process is directed.  The sheriff’s office also maintains a constant updated list of all the registered sex offenders on our website and monitors their movements within our county.

The sheriff’s office operates with three divisions; the Uniform Patrol Division, the Criminal Investigations, and the Jail Division.  Each division has their duties posted on our website.

The sheriff’s office also has school resource officers working with the schools who are dedicated to their profession to ensure the safety of our children.

I am in my thirteenth year as sheriff of Banks County and since I took office in 1997, we have seen many changes with the continued growth.  We at the Banks County Sheriff’s Office are committed to providing the best service possible using all the resources we have available to us in a courteous and professional manner.  Truly our county is one of the best in the state, and a county that you and I both love; and we are committed to you, the citizens of Banks County, in the service which the sheriff’s office provides.
